This morning when I looked out the window, the sun was barely over the horizon and clouds were these wonderful colors of pink and purple. A little poem formed in my head...

Morning clouds of purple and pink
Grace the sky and make me think
How grateful I am for eyes that see
Glimpses of God's majesty.

I know it wouldn't win any literary contests (ha-ha), but I kind of like it. :o)

We have a new litter of barn cats! They're so tiny. Right now they look like little rats, but I know they'll be cute as cute can be in no time at all. There are four of them--two little tabby cats with white paws and chins, a gray and white splotchy one, and a solid black. I don't know why, but this mama cat, which is a calico, has one black kitten in every litter. I keep hoping she'll have a calico baby, but she never has. Maybe next time?

Anyway, I can't wait 'til these kittens are big enough to play. They're always so much fun! (Dad calls every new litter a nuisance, but then I catch him petting them when he thinks no one's looking.)

Oh...Caleb better not pester them!
